This project aims to enable Vocational Education and Training (VET) high school students to design and implement smart agriculture applications using a custom drone integrated with the FLIGHT Kit sensors (BME680 and GUVA-S12SD). The practical implementation takes place in the northern villages of Gebze (Ovacık and Köseler), where greenhouse farming is highly active. The success of chemical spraying and liquid fertilization on crops depends deeply on ambient temperature, relative humidity (BME680), and the intensity of solar UV radiation (GUVA-S12SD). Incorrect spraying times cause rapid evaporation of chemicals due to high heat, which leads to financial waste, reduced crop efficiency, and chemical pollution in groundwater. In this project, high school students will plan automated drone flights over greenhouses to collect microclimatic telemetry. They will analyze the sensor logs to build a data model that pinpoints the perfect hour for spraying with minimum evaporation and maximum plant absorption. This multidisciplinary project bridges embedded electronics, drone piloting, and digital farming.
