Thermo-Scout: Vertical Atmospheric Profiling for Frost Risk Analysis

This project leverages the custom drone's ability to perform precise vertical maneuvers to detect Temperature Inversion layers—a primary cause of agricultural frost. Instead of horizontal mapping, students program the drone to act as a "Vertical Sounding Probe," ascending to specific altitudes (e.g., 5m, 15m, 30m, 50m). By logging temperature, humidity, and pressure data via the BME680 sensor, students will construct a vertical profile of the atmosphere. The data is visualized in Kepler.gl as a 3D column, allowing students to determine if warmer air exists above the freezing ground layer, which is crucial information for active frost protection methods (like wind machines).
